Artificial Stupidity: the AI is slightly better than in Age of Empires II in some departments, but still leaves a lot to be desired. You can even get Darth Vader versus Anakin Skywalker. 
Anachronism Stew: Playing in Standard mode you can have a battle between the Empire and the Republic despite the fact that they are the same civilization at different points in history. 
Agri World: In the Darth Vader campaign, several missions take place on the agri-world of Reytha. Without proper escort, they have no answer for melee units. Assault mechs and artillery can dish out long range punishment, but have a minimum firing range in which they can aim. note And speaking of bombers, they also get bonus damage against turrets - including, strangely enough, Anti-air turrets. Naturally, power cores have low HP and bombers get bonus damage against them. Taking out the power cores will shut down shields and cripple most buildings. Yes moderators, please forgive me for my sins. Just don't forget to turn it back on when you're done. If you're running a modern machine and are experiencing this issue, DISABLE VIDEO ACCELERATION. The games architecture is designed for incredibly weak computers.(By today's standards) So all this nonsense about maybe our power supply isn't generating enough juice into the card etc is a little excessive for a product that can run on old laptop chipsets. Yes folks, right click on your desktop go to your advanced display options>trouble shooting and simply turn off all acceleration while you play the game. And after hours upon hours of trouble shooting and doing hardware tests on old machines I found quite simply the most obvious solution to making this game run without crashing.ĭisable all hardware acceleration on the video card. I too have been plagued with this problem, as have many over the past few years of wanting to play a favorite old classic. There are many threads on this issue, some modern, and some older, on many websites, including the official Lucas arts forum but google is giving me this thread at the top result, so I think I should do my part to finally bury this problem under the rug. 
Okay, now I'm going to ask for forgiveness from moderators on this fine website and I have found a solution to this problem that I believe people should be aware of.
